Building Regulations

How it works from start to finish.......

Stage One

Building Regulations/specification drawings are produced from planning drawings. The drawings are then reviewed and approved by you.

Stage Two

Drawings are submitted to Building Control for checking. Fees are payable at this stage. Drawings are also sent to Structural Engineer & Party Wall surveyor for pricing (if required). A provisional drawing is available for costing at this stage.

Stage Three

Drawings revised as required for Building Control & Structural Engineers details. DHP Plans will keep you informed on progress through this stage. Building Regulations drawing approval normally takes 4-6 weeks.

Stage Four

Building Regulations approval (full plans) obtained. Final drawings will be issued to you (3 copies). Construction may commence now. Building Control will make regular site visits to check and sign off the construction. On completion of building works DHP Plans will liaise with Building Control to obtain a Completion Certificate.

DHP Plans are available to make site visits during the construction phase on request, additional costs will be applicable on an hourly rate basis.
